- GUESSING THE RESOLUTIONS
Let your guests write down their new year resolutions on a slip of paper. Now mix all these slips in a basket and randomly make all the guests pull one slip at a time and read it out loud. Now let everyone guess who they think made the resolution. At the end whoever guessed the most right, will be the winner. Reading it loud will make everyone burst into laughter…!!
2. FUNNY PICS
Click picture of each of your guests. Have them make a funny face and tell them there is a prize for the best face. Now, download the pics to your laptop and show them to everyone. Whoever makes everyone laugh the most with their pic is the winner…!!!
3. GUESS NUMBER OF OBJECTS
Fill a transparent box with a certain quantity of chocolates, marbles, coins, toy cars or some other item. Decorate the box and place it on the table. Ask all the guests to guess the number of items in the box and also write their names on a slip of paper. At the end of the party, award will be given to one with the most right/closest guesses.
4. PASS THE PILLOW
A simple but fun game, where all you need is a pillow. Your guests sit in a circle and attempt to pass the pillow to the other person without using their hands. If someone drops the pillow, they are out of the game. The last player who is left wins the pillow or any other prize.
5. COTTON BALL RACE
This fun game uses just cotton balls and two bowls. Divide your group into teams and place a bowl of cotton balls and a jar of moisturiser/Vaseline on a table. Now at some distance, have another table with an empty bowl. Each member puts Vaseline on their nose, dip their nose into the bowl of cotton balls and race to another table and deposit the cotton ball in their team’s bowl. Team members take turns, and the first team which completes the game wins the race.

This adult New Year’s Eve party game is all about reliving and sharing the memories of the year that’s slipping. Make some slips of paper and write down certain things like,” Your best Moment of the year, the best memory this year gave you, name a new friend you made, your most embarrassing moment of the year, one thing you learnt from this year” and so on….Now make all your guests take out a slip randomly and tell the answer to the question mentioned in the slip. This is my favourite game and the best way to share our memories of the year.
7. NAME GAME
For this game, each guest will need to contribute some names of celebrities, fictional or historical characters, their family members, friends and even people in the room. But the names should be of people known to all the participants in the game. The guests are then divided into 2 teams and they then guess the names on the slip of paper by giving each other clues just like dumb charades. The team which guesses the most wins the game.
8. DUMB CHARADES
This classic game can be the best thing for a New Year’s Eve party taking you back to the good old days of laughter and fun. For this, divide your guests into small or large groups. Just ask one person from the other team to enact name of a movie and let his team members guess the name. Make sure to give the names of old movies to the young chaps to ensure that the room is filled with laughter.
9. KARAOKE SINGING
This is my family’s favourite pastime. Have all members of your family choose their favourite song and encourage them to sing their heart out. All that you need for this is a karaoke Bluetooth mic which hardly costs Rs. 400/- and your phone. Now put karaoke song of your choice on Youtube and enjoy the family gathering. There cannot be any better way then singing your heart out to welcome 2020 in style….!!!!
